Is Affiliate Marketing Be Right For You?

People have been making money with affiliate marketing for nearly two decades and it is still a good way to earn. Have you ever thought about doing affiliate marketing but just did not know what it was about or where to begin? This article is for people exactly like you.

A Business Like No Other

To begin other businesses, you need to stock inventory, have a storefront, deal with shipping and customer support. You also need a great deal of cash. Affiliate marketing has none of these requirements. You can begin in less than five minutes. But, remember that it is a business and to make it work, you have to work at it.

Affiliate Marketing Explained

As an affiliate marketer, your only job is to drive people to the business’ website so that the business can sell the product to the person. You agree to do this for a percentage of the sale price, a commission. Marketers use all different kinds of advertising media, including pay-per-click, banner ads, text ads, classified ads, article marketing and videos. Businesses with good affiliate programs supply the articles, text ads, banners and other graphics and marketing materials you will need to effectively promote their business.

Selecting A Product

Some popular product clearinghouses that you may have heard of are Clickbank, Share-A-Sale and Commission Junction. If you are interested in selling digital products (products that can be downloaded immediately on purchase), you will want to look at Clickbank. There are a myriad of clearinghouses where you can find physical products to sell. Share-a-Sale and Commission Junction are just two.

Affiliate programs do not charge any kind of fee to be an affiliate. It is free to join the clearinghouse sites, as well. Before you go on your search for a product, it is important to do a bit of research. You need to find a niche that has plenty of searches being done, but not so many websites focusing on the niche. You can do this by using a keyword tool.

Use A Keyword Tool

The Google keyword tool is very helpful when it comes to finding a niche that is not saturated with marketers already. You can look at some of the categories that are on the left-hand side of the tool page and see if anything interests you. If you find an interesting category, click it to retrieve keyword ideas.

Once your keyword ideas have popped up, take a look at the global search column and find a term that has somewhere between 4,000-10,000 searches. You have a much better chance of turning up on Google’s first page if you focus on a niche that does not have a lot of competition, but does have a fair amount of searches done on the term.

It Is Real Work

Affiliate marketing is a real business and can have its ups and downs. Some days you may not feel like marketing, but do it anyway. The successful marketers are the people who work whether they are in the mood or not. When you get your first commission, you will be thrilled. It may take some time, but that commission will come if you keep consistently working your business.

B1G1 – Global Giving Partnering Businesses With Charities

Buy One Give One (B1G1) is the home of transaction-based giving.

STOP. Take a breath. And imagine you were part of a world where every transaction made a key difference.

Imagine, for example, you bought a television, and automatically a cataract-blind child received the gift of sight. Automatically. Or imagine if today you purchased a cup of coffee and someone in Africa got access to clean, pure water as a direct result. Automatically again.

It’s all happening right now. Already Buy1GIVE1 (Buy1/Give1) has become a true global giving ‘village’, bringing together businesses, their customers and worthy causes in a way that’s never been done before.

It’s happening globally, every second, every day and in every way with a staggering 556 projects already underway and making a difference.

That’s because in the Buy1GIVE1 world, every single transaction, be it buying a beer in Jamaica or renting a car in Reno (and everything in between) gives back in a well-defined, resonant and measurable way.

Nowadays, when both corporations and charities have seen a decline in profits and contributions, cause-related marketing seems to really be catching on. Cause-related marketing is a business strategy involving a partnership between a company with a merchandise to trade and a charity with a cause to advance. As opposed to “corporate philanthropy,” which merely includes a company making a tax-deductible charitable donation, cause-related marketing benefits both the company (by helping to increase sales, and therefore, profits), and the charity (by bringing in contributions and calling attention to the cause.)

You buy a book, a tree gets planted. You dine out, a child gets fed. Buy One Give One – simple. The list goes on forever and the giving simply happens automatically, every second, every day and in every way.

And it is beautifully simple. Buy1GIVE1 is now becoming a global movement as more and more businesses jump on board and enjoy the incredible benefits of transaction based giving.

In Buy1GIVE1, they make the stronger point that in many, many cases, the consumer is not just engaged in CSR initiatives on a day-to-day basis. Buy1-Give1 gives solutions to that and it does it every second, every day and in every way.

The Screen Printing Process

Screen printing is one of the initial methods used in printing process. In this process, the ink or any other printing medium is passed through a screen or ‘mesh’ that has been fixed on a frame, and a stencil has been applied to it. The image that needs to be imprinted is determined from the stencil openings. For the different colors, different screens are prepared and the process is repeated.

The silk screen printing also known as serigraphs is a multiple printing technique that involves the use of stencils in order to transfer the design. The paint is applied on the silk screen and affects the areas that are not blocked by the stencil. Many colors can be applied by using several stencils in a single print. The serigraphs was developed as a commercial medium and is still used by modern artists. The silk screen has been replaced with a polyester material that is widely available and is also cheap as compared with silk material.

Screen painting is the technique developed by the Chinese almost 2000 years back and the screen was made of human hair stretched across a wooden frame. The Japanese developed it further by using the woven silk as mesh and lacquers as stencils. Europe adopted this technique much later as it involved silk which was not available in the Europe.

In the United States, the screen printing was popularized by artist Andy Warhol, he screen printed actress Marilyn Monroe in’62. A rotary machine was patented by Michael Vasilantone in’60 to print logos and team information on bowling garments but shortly, started printing on t-shirts. It was soon licensed by many manufactures for screen printing of garments making the rotary garment printing machine as a popular device for screen printing. In the United States, screen printing on garments account for almost half of the screen printing activity.

The printing on the canvas with the help of the screen-printing also became popular with the artists. Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg and many other artists have made use of screen-printing on the canvas. The commercial as well as the fine arts industry is using this screen printing industry to increase their profits and they use it to make prints on the CD and DVD covers, t-shirts, hats and also on the metals and many more things.

Currently, graphic screen printing is used in creation of mass or large batch production graphics such as posters or display stands. The screen printing is more suitable for printing on non-porous surfaces like ceramics and metals, curved surfaces like bottles and cups and also for short print runs.
